Studio art is a year long class that meets everyday in room #210. It fulfills the mandatory one credit of art/music required by the NYS regents diploma.
Students in Studio art will explore many different types of materials and techniques, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media and sculpture. Students will be expected to always do their very best, and respect themselves, their peers and the art materials. I firmly believe everyone is an artist in some way. This class will allow you to make choices and create work that is meaningful to you. Evaluation is based on the students projects, journal and extra assignments, such as worksheets, quizzes and research assignments. Each project is accompanied by a rubric which guides students through the process. |
